In keratoconus the surface of the eye loses its regular shape, so ordinary glasses can no longer deliver clear vision. Rigid and scleral lenses create a smooth optical surface in front of the cornea and can restore markedly clearer sight.
What is the Eaglet Eye device?
Eaglet Eye — the Eye Surface Profiler — measures the eye surface and the area around it using profilometry and builds a highly accurate 3D height map, instead of relying on trial and error. From that map the lens is designed for the shape of your eye specifically, which reduces the number of trial lenses and shortens the time to the final lens.
